MEIJI PERIOD (LATE 19TH CENTURY), SIGNED ISSHU (NO) JU NISHIMURA SAKUEMON---KAZUTOMO SAKU
The round barrel with 175 caliber bore and octagonal muzzle is flattened on the top and set with two brass ball sights; the flashpan is fitted with plain brass furniture and pan cover; numbered on top of the barrel, 219059; signed underneath Isshu (no) ju Nishimura Sakuemon---Kazutomo saku; the plain wood stock is fitted with plain brass furniture and a steel swan cock, maker's name illegible--length overall 91.8 cm.
