Of heavy gauge; Iris pattern, comprising hot water kettle on stand with burner, coffeepot, teapot, hot milk jug, cream jug, covered sugar bowl and waste bowl; each of globular form on circular base, highly repousse and chased with irises and leaves on a matted ground, the kettle on a square pedestal base on four flowerhead feet, with four vertical supports similarly chased centering a circular burner with cover, with foliate spouts and handles with ivory insulators, the hinged domed covers with similar decoration and surmounted by a baluster form iris-clad finial, the tray of rectangular form, the border repousse and chased in high relief with iris flowerheads and leaves intertwined, with applied reeded iris-clad handles, the center field etched with a monogram MVL, marked under bases--height of kettle on stand 12¾in., tray length over handles 32¼in.
