Hans Ofner was a member of the second generation of avant-garde Austrian designers. Born in 1880, he studied under Josef Hoffmann at the Kunstgewerbeschule and the Fachschule für Architektur in Vienna. Besides various designs for furniture and architectural commissions, he also designed metalwares and jewelry.
