The inscription on the box reads S.A.R. LE DUC DE ANGOULEME--A.D. FELIX TORRES AMAT, TRADUCTEUR DE LA BIBLE EN ESPANOL.

His Royal Highness the Duke of Angouleme, son of Charles X, was born at Versailles in 1775, married his first cousin Marie Therese Charlotte in 1799, emigrated in July 1789, taking part in royalist campaign, and returned to France with Wellington's army in 1814. In 1830, he momentarily succeeded his father as Louis XIX, titular King of France, promptly renouncing the throne in favor of his nephew Henri, who similarly abdicated, causing the throne to pass fromthe House of Bourbon to the Duke of Orleans who became King Louis Philippe.
