Of oval form, the base, sides and hinged cover with panels of green translucent enamel on a moire ground, with gold and white enamel link borders, the cover set with a border of pearls and centering an oval pearl-set cartouche painted with two maidens sacrificing at the Altar of Love, marked on interior and cover--3 3/8in.(8.7cm.) long, in fitted shagreen case
