A GERMAN SILVER PLATE MOUNTED GLASS VASE, maker's mark of W.M.F., designed by Albert Mayer, circa 1900, with antique silver finish, the bulbous body on four openwork supports, with open back, the front formed as a diaphanously clad maiden, in front of a modelled seated boy, the body chased with roses, the spreading cylindrical detachable vase with bowed shoulder and flaring neck, the neck quartered by frosted fronds and cut with stylized berries, with scalloped rim--20in. (50.8cm.) high
