Finely painted with two large figural panels, one showing a group of mandarins comparing songbirds and the other with a gentleman taking the sun in the garden of his villa, sepia and iron-red landscape cartouches on the gilt filigree ground, the interior with further small cartouches on a wide band of purple diaper pattern (restored semicircular break at one side)--13 3/8in. (34cm.) diam.
