Kim Chung-Hyun was born in Yongam in South Cholla Province and graduated from Kawabata Calligraphy School. From 1942-44 he exhibited his work in the "Sun" exhibition in Seoul and in 1957 he became a member of the Baik Yang Society. He lectured at Sung Sin University, San Myung University, and Sou Do University in Seoul. In 1969 his work was shown at the "National" exhibition in Seoul.
