Engine: single cylinder, forward inclined, overhead valve, four stroke, air cooled, 598cc; Gearbox: four speed, separate unit from the engine; Brakes:drum; Suspension: front, telescopic forks, rear, rigid frame. Twin port model.
The Phelon and Moore parent company established their unique style by using the power plant as a stressed unit, replacing the front down tube. This saved weight, was very rigid and was used until 1966 when the company folded.
The 100 has its origins in the 500cc single introduced in 1924. Capacity grew to 600cc three years later. This was to remain for 32 years when capacity was finally increased to 650cc for the 120 model.
Popular as an economical big bike, ideal for sidecar use, its long stroke, heavy flywheel motor produces fantastic low revving power and has an enviable reputation for longevity and reliability.
