Of oval form on rim foot pierced with a band of ovolo, the everted sides pierced and chased to resemble basket-weave within a tied reededband and interlaced weave border, with twisted wire swing handle issuing from shells and foliage, the interior elaborately engraved with a braod band of trelliswork with scrolls, strapwork and rocaille at intervals, the center with a coat-of-arms within a scroll and shell architectural cartouche, marked under base--12 3/4in. The arms are those of Beachcroft quartering those of another and impaling those of Seward.

A number of basket-form cake baskets from Lamerie's workshop are known, although only a few have a swing handle.; one such is an example of 1734 formerly in the Rothermere Collection, illustrated in Clayton, 1985a, p. 26, fig. 14
