A PAIR OF GEORGE II SILVER SAUCEBOATS
STERLING STANDARD, LONDON, 1734, MAKER'S MARK OF PAUL DE LAMERIE (HARE, NO. 4)

Of oval lipped form, each raised on four quilted scroll feet terminating in dolphin masks, engraved inside and out under the wavy rims with bands of trelliswork and rocaille within strapwork, the scroll handles cast and chased as quilted sea monsters, engraved circa 1780 under the lips with a monogram, marked under bases--8 1/4in. (21cm.) long
