Depicting the sleeping Antiope and Jupiter in the form of a satyr on a rocky crag observed by Cupid, on oblong base inset with frieze of putti bacchantes between anthemion and satyr masks, the cylindrical case fitted with slightly later movement, the white enamel dial with arabic chapters and floral swag, thread suspension to pendulum (lacking), striking the hour and half hour on bell by means of countwheel, 17in. (43cm.) high
