Personifying Love and Friendship in the figure of a partially draped maiden holding two hearts and a figure of a putto and faithful dog, the central fluted porcelain column surmounted by oval jasperware medallion of Psyche, the shaped oval base inset with pierced laurel wreath panels and simulated lapis lazuli raised on leaf-capped feet, the beaded bezel with ribbon-tied wreath surround enclosing a white enamel dial with roman chapters, pierced gilt arrow and fleur-de-lis (now clipped) hands, the movement with anchor escapement striking the hour and the half-hour on bell by means of countwheel with thread suspension to pendulum, 14in.
