A RARE PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE BOWLS
YONGZHENG MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD

Each exquisitely painted on the exterior with two large peonies, one in shaded iron-red stippled in the center with yellow enamel pollen meant to attract the bees hovering nearby, one in white enamel tinged with pink at the edges of the petals, with a third slightly smaller blossom enameled in pink borne on a branch extending to the side beyond a group of small chrysanthemums rising from the foot, one with hair crack--4in. (10.2cm.) diam. (2)
