EDO PERIOD (DATED 1860 AND 1862), BOTH INSCRIBED NATSUO AND KAO

The two tsuba comprising: a thick iron plate carved in very high relief with a monkey sitting in a pine tree, the face of copper with gold accents, the reverse with a branch of pine--8.4cm. high, 7.2cm. wide, 6.5mm. thick; and an iron plate with delicate stone surface, carved and inlaid with two puppies and a shibuichi stream, the reverse with rain lines on stone surface--8.2cm.high, 7.5cm. wide, 5.25mm. thick (2)
