The kozuka comprising: a polished brass plate inlaid with a design of a farmer, the butt end carved as an open cave with a rice bale inside, in shakudo, copper, gold and silver inlay, (circa 1775); a polished shibuichi plate inlaid with a design of a fisherman in gold, silver, copper, and shibuishi, (rubbed), (circa 1850); a polished brass plate inlaid with shakudo fish and gold seaweed, (circa 1750), signed Hisatomi; a silvered-copper frame with flush cloisonne inlay with a blue ground and three butterflies in yellow, white, red and green, (doro shippo), (circa 1750); a brass plate with silver lilies (damaged and rubbed), (circa 1750); a polished shibuichi plate with a design of flush fish nets (scratched), (circa 1750); a copper plate carved with Hotei in katakiri style, (circa 1800); four iron-plate examples decorated with a spider web, kanji, plum branch, and skull-and-bones design, (rust), (circa 1750); four shiiremono (repousse) examples of nigurome plate, (circa 1800) (15)
