The rounded, cross-shape brass plate with an acid-etched cherry blossom and scrolling vine design on both the face and reverse, pierced with the Hosokawa family crest upper right and a large and small circle (udenuki-ana) at center bottom, the rim with a shakudo cover-- 7.8cm. high, 7.3cm. wide, 5mm thick
