MOMOYAMA PERIOD (CIRCA 1575)
The iron plate is octagon-shaped with rounded corners and edge. The web is formed as a large cross. The surface of the cross is inlaid with silver and gold nunome in a design of flowers and scroll work. The nunome is much worn and rubbed--height 7.2cm., width 6.9cm., thickness 4.5mm.
