Chancery folio, 314 x 217 (12 3/8 x 8 1/2 mm.), nineteenth-century English green crushed levant morocco, covers gilt with wide border of double fillets and curling leaf and stem roll-tool, triangular compartments at corners tooled to a flowering plant design, turn-ins gilt, dark salmon silk endleaves, lower edges with contemporary manuscript lettering, backstrip gone, corners and board edges rubbed and darkened, some minor mostly marginal worming, larger marginal wormholes repaired, occasional very slight marginal dampstaining.

Collation: [1 4 2-13 10 14 4]. 136 leaves (1/1, 4/3 and 4/4 blank), without signatures or foliation. Type 1:117. 35 lines. Rubricated: two large opening initial capitals supplied in green and red with respectively green and red floral infill and marginal extensions, remaining initials red, a few with extensions, red paragraph marks.

A reprint of an undated edition printed by Schüssler no later than 1471, correcting the misplacement of parts of Psalm 118, printed within Psalms 112 and 119 in the earlier edition. H *15696; Proctor 1596; BMC II, 329; Polain (B) 3857; Goff T-519.
