The shaped-rectangular cover enamelled in the Kakiemon style in turquoise, blue, iron-red and puce enriched with gilding with thatched pavilions in a landscape edged with leaves and flowering branches, the sides and box with iron-red and blue stylized flowerheads and gilt rim (cover with chip and restuck chip, small chip to inside rim, box with crack down inside of one lobe and chip to inside rim)--3½in. (8.9cm.) wide
