MAKER'S MARK OF BAILEY & KITCHEN, PHILADELPHIA, 1833-1846

Inverted pear-shaped, on spreading circular foot repousse and chased with a band of flowerheads on a matted ground above a band of stylized leaves and below a similar knop, the lower body chased with acanthus, each side chased with an asymetrical foliate scroll and rocaille cartouche engraved with a monogram and crest below a band of overlapping acanthus and leaves, the neck flat-chased with foliate scrolls, rocaille and flowerheads below a laurel rim, with foliate scroll handle, marked--15in. high
