A PAIR OF LIEGE PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOLS with browned etched twist rifled sighted barrels inscribed 'Damas Turc' in silver within an elongated silver oval, long slender case-hardened breech tangs and breeches each engraved with foliage and numbered 1 and 2 in silver, the signed locks and mounts retaining some grey finish, the latter engraved with scrolls and including shaped side-plates and pommels, scroll engraved blued spur trigger-guards, figured walnut half-stocks carved with foliage in low relief on the fore-ends, fluted butts, and blued set triggers: in fitted brass-mounted walnut-veneered case lined in green velvet with full accessories, the lid with oval brass escutcheon engraved 'Sir F.W. Dunbar Bart. of Boath', by Lassence-Rongé A Liège, Liège proof, circa 1850
