A FINE PAIR OF PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOLS with reblued partly fluted octagonal sighted rifled barrels signed in encrusted gold lettering on the breech and decorated with encrusted lines and vines on the muzzle and breech, breeches and tangs decorated en suite and all numbered 1 and 2 respectively, gold-encrusted locks en suite and each with stepped tail, ebony half-stocks finely carved with vines, scrolls and strapwork in relief against a matted ground, gold-encrusted iron mounts including spur trigger-guards and ribbed pommels each with turned finial, and gold-encrusted barrel-bolts and barrel-bolt escutcheons, signed Le Page Moutier & Fauré, Paris, Liège proof, circa 1865
