Rectangular étui-à-tablettes, enamelled in translucent red on a scallopped engine-turned gold ground, both sides of the lid with gold inscription "SOUVENIR", the base set with rectangular enamels with cut corners, depicting a seated peasant girl on one side, and a bamboccio with a dog on the other; all corners applied with gold rosettes, the borders set with pierced gold foliage bands, inside tablets and a pencil -- 7.9 cm high
