A young lady in love, seated in a bed, her centre-parted long brown hair falling on her shoulders, wearing a loose white chemise open to reveal her female splendor, a bird on her right hand; mauve drapery with gold tassels in the background -- 59 mm diam., very fine vari-coloured engraved gold frame surmounted by chased and pierced birds and foliage set with rose-cut diamonds, suspended from an engraved and chased two-colour gold bow centred by a pink foiled stone, the glazed reverse with gold monogram GCA and love symbols on a plaited hair ground.
