A RARE AND HIGHLY IMPORTANT ART NOUVEAU GEM-SET, ENAMEL, FRESHWATER PEARL AND MOTHER-OF-PEARL CORSAGE ORNAMENT, BY GEORGES FOUQUET AND ALPHONSE MUCHA
The larger detachable pendant, with two drop-shaped crayon, aquarelle and gilt miniatures, each with a mother-of-pearl backing and green plique-à-jour enamel clover surmount, suspended from a purple and pink plique-à-jour enamel lotus flanked by two eagle's heads to the freshwater pearl and vari-coloured gem bead and cabochon chain with multi-colour plique-à-jour enamel spacers of various design, suspending an orange guilloché enamel ovoid charm with orange, purple and pink plique-à-jour enamel wings and rotating high-domed cabochon agate surmount applied with a series of turquoise, amethyst and freshwater pearl tassels, 1899-1900, 1.59 m. (enamel on larger pendant has been replaced, enamel on ovoid charm slightly worn)
