A GEORGE II GOLD-MOUNTED BLOND AGATE SNUFF-BOX
English, circa 1750

Rectangular box, the cover, sides and base inset with slightly mottled blonde agate panels, the cagework gold mounts of the cover chased and engraved with reeded scrolls and flowers, the corners of the base similarly adorned with scrolls, the thumbpiece slightly raised -- 51 mm wide, the rear panel with hairline crack.
