A GEORGE II GOLD-MOUNTED STRIATED AGATE SNUFF-BOX
English, circa 1750/1760

Oval box of striated grey agate, the cover overlaid with a pierced cagework chased and engraved with a reclining putto, floral swags and reeded scrolls, the sides applied with six chased and engraved pilasters, the flaring thumbpiece engraved with reeding -- 47 mm wide.
