Circular lacquered wooden box, the cover painted with a scene depicting a Montgolfière and people climbing a wall; two of the ladies revealing their bare backsides, an Abbé attentively observing the orbs with a spy-glass; the sides and base of the box painted with green and gilt scrolls and leaf garlands, the base centered by a Montgolfière; the interior painted with rust-red lacquer -- 82 mm diam., minor chips.
