Circular wood box, the cover centered by a gold pellet, the borders set with slightly raised brown tortoiseshell rims -- 80 mm diam.

Lot Essay

Antoine Tardiveau (or Tardiveaux) struck his mark in 1798/1799 and is still mentioned in 1815. Boxes by this maker are in the Louvre and in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
