Set on a high, slanted foot, the square stand with angled corners constructed with a deep cylindrical well surmounted by a short ring collar to accomodate the foot of the cup, the upper surface of the stand and sides of the collar decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e and gold and silver foil with tops and children's toys against a ground of undecorated wood covered in clear lacquer, the sides of the foot also clear-lacquered wood, the well, underside of the stand and base nashiji
