The rectangular box fitted with a removable footed tray, lacquered on the exterior and top surface of the tray in gold hiramaki-e on a nashiji ground, the cover with a a dragon clutching a 'pearl', the tray and each of four sides decorated with pavilions on a rocky shore, the interior, base and underside of the tray roiro and nashiji, rims pewter
