CORONELLI, Vincenzo. Memorie Istoriogeografiche della Morea. Venice: Giuseppe Maria Ruinetti, 1687.

2° (388 x 276mm). Plates mounted on guards throughout. Engraved title and 61 maps, plans and views, including 18 double-page or folding, 22 smaller views on 11 leaves and 21 engravings in the letterpress. (Lacking two folding plates and one illustration, folding 'Disegno idrografico' misbound at f.41 and neatly repaired at folds, some light staining, one or two double-page plates with short clean tears along guards.) Contemporary sheep, spine stamped in blind in seven compartments, paper label in one (lightly scuffed, a few small wormholes to spine and front cover).

Second folio edition, first(?) issue, printed while Morosini was procurator. This edition consists primarily of the sheets issued for the first folio edition of 1686 with new text and plates added, reflecting the most recent Venetian conquests. Rarely are two copies of any of Coronelli's works identical; this copy lacks the plates of the Piazza di Calamata (also missing in some other copies) and of Cerigo. The illustration of Forte Opus on f.84 was not printed in this copy, although a space has been left for it. Blackmer 408.
