A MEISSEN (OUTSIDE-DECORATED) GROUP OF THREE PLAYFUL CHILDREN
Circa 1890

Two seated on a wooden see-saw balanced on a section of a broken marble column, the girl crying as she falls backwards, her companion with a drum, the third child seated on the remainder of the column, a basket of flowers at their feet, on a rocky oval mound base edged with a band of white and gilt chain-pattern (minute chips to petals and to drum-stick, restoration to one handle of basket), cancelled blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 35, incised G32.
