A CHELSEA METAL-MOUNTED SCENT-BOTTLE AND STOPPER modelled as Cupid with a quiver slung from his shoulder seated on the back of a donkey before a flower-encrusted tree-stump, the bridle inscribed in iron-red TELS SONT MES SECTATEURS and edged with gilding, the domed base applied with flowers, the underside gilt with a flower-spray within a gilt dentil rim, the stopper formed as a bouquet (one wing lacking, chip to other wing, tip of one of donkey's ears lacking, chips to stopper, enamels slightly rubbed), circa 1760
