A 11.5cm. diameter terrestrial table globe Prof. Dr. A. Krause Neuer Schülerglobus Verlag Paul Rath Lehrmittelwerkstätten Leipzig, circa 1890
made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial and prime meridian graduated in degrees, the oceans showing steamship routes, the continents with nation states delicately outlined in various shades and showing rivers, mountains, towns, cities and the Great Wall of China (minor repair to equator), raised on a simple wire arm to an ebonised baluster-turned column and plinth base -- 24cm. high; an 11cm. diameter terrestrial table globe COLUMBUS-SCHÜLER-ROLLGLOBUS MIT ERDMESSER DES. BERLIN STUTTGART, circa 1930, made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the northern showing the degrees of longitude, the equatorial and prime meridian graduated in degrees, the oceans with some ocean currents, the continents with nation states variously and delicately shaded and showing rivers, towns, cities and some mountains with height in metres, raised on a simple brass wire arm to a turned mahogany column and plinth base -- 21cm. high; a 10cm. diameter terrestrial globe DIE ERDE, unsigned, circa 1895, made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial and the meridian of Ferro graduated in degrees, the latter unlabelled, the ecliptic ungraduated, the oceans with ocean currents, the continents with nation states roughly outlined in various colours and showing rivers, mountains, towns and cities (repaired split to equator, generally somewhat dirty) mounted on a simple wire arm to an ebonised baluster - turned column and plinth base- 21.5cm. high (3)
