A 20.3 cm. diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees and hours, the meridian of Paris and the ecliptic ungraduated, the degrees of latitude shown at 150°E, the oceans with ocean currents, oceanic flora, steamship routes boldly shown in red with ports of arrival and departure, some with journey time in days, submarine cables and extent of antarctic drift ice, the continents shaded green, pink, yellow and orange with national boundaries boldly marked in red, showing towns, cities, rivers, railway and telegraph lines and the Great Wall of China (some minor abrasions) with a brass acorn finia and a turning handle, raised via a short brass arm to an ebonised baluster-turned wooden column and plinth base -- 38.1 cm. high

Christie's charges a Buyer's premium calculated at 20.825% of the hammer price for each lot with a value up to €90,000 (NLG 198.334). If the hammer price of a lot exceeds €90,000 then the hammer price of a lot is calculated at 20.825% of the first €90,000 plus 11.9% of any amount in excess of €90,000. Buyer's Premium is calculated on this basis for each lot individually.
