A well detailed scale model of H.M.S. Victory
Anonymous, 20th Century
with bound masts, yards with foot ropes and stun's'l booms, left and right hand wound standing and running rigging with scale blocks, carved arms-and-cherub figurehead, hair rails, bitts, belaying rails and pins, shot racks, gratings, stove pipe, bell with canopy, hammock racks, well deck with four ship's boats in chocks with bottom boards, thwarts and oars, companionways, deck guns lashed in red painted carriages with ram rods nearby, fire buckets, compass house, deck lights and other details. the hull, carved from the solid, with open gun ports and guns, boarding companionway and door with canopy, chain plates and deadeyes, carved stern and quarter galleries, three ship' boats in davits, and rudder, is finsihed in blue, yellow and varnish and mounted on a cradle stand.
