A young lady holding a parrot, seated half-length on a terrace against a mountainous landscape, her left hand holding a pair of cherries, wearing a lace-edged grey silk dress with pink bows and adorned with a garland of flowers, her grey-powdered curly hair similarly embellished, a smiling female black servant with white turban and russet dress standing behind the green upholstered gilt-wood chair; on parchment, rectangular -- 51 x 77 mm, later gilt-metal frame with beaded border and ribbon-tie surmount
