Pot 1° (192 x 305mm). A single pot sheet, engraved on copper on one side only and divided, the two halves attached at top and bottom, with pictures arranged centrally between upper and lower verse-texts, the upper sheet cut once horizontally and three times vertically to make eight flaps which may be turned up or turned down to reveal parts of the narrative continued below. Hand-coloured at the publisher's. Original pink paper wrappers with woodcut titling a 3 wood engravings on the front and 3 on the back. Housed in recent folding case made from near-contemporary marbled-paper over boards. A & M 126; Moon Tabart.
This very rare harliquinade, or turn-up, is in exceptional condition, with its fragile paper covers very well preserved.
