Inlaid overall with quarter-veneered panels framed by ebonised mouldings, the corners mounted with circular medallions, the eared canted moulded rectangular top above a fall front, inlaid to simulate a pair of doors and centred by a foliate cabochon mount flanked by circular medallions surmounted by a ribbon-tie issuing swags of berried laurel, the reverse inlaid with a quarter-veneered panel, enclosing a cedarwood and stained fruitwood fitted interior with a pair of tambour shutter doors above six drawers and a long simulated drawer, the hinged front and ratcheted back section covered in gilt-tooled black leather, the false drawer concealing two further drawers, above two conforming doors enclosing a plain interior divided into four pigeon-holes above two drawers, between canted angles headed by husk trails and inlaid with a patera, on square tapering short legs inlaid with simulated fluting, minor losses to the veneers, some handles to drawers missing, restorations
