A Flemish gilt-bronze and silver-mounted tortoiseshell box
Second half 17th Century, possibly Antwerp
Mounted overall with foliate clasps decorated with flower-heads and winged cherubs, the rectangular hinged domed lid with a mirrored back to the reverse and enclosing a removable maple tray, the floor with a watercolour of country figures in a formal garden, the tray originally also silk-lined, slight wear to the central section of the watercolour
