India, Chandraketugarh style, Sunga Period, circa 1st Century BC
Finely carved in relief with four yakshis alternating with trees, one holding a large bird, on a fossilized wood spindle carved with slots
Ivory cylinder: 2 in. (5 cm.) high; 5¾ in. (14.5 cm.) high overall
