the hexagonal case on winged claw feet and with later winged caryatids to the glazed sides, later winged cherubs to the circular Roman and Arabic dial with well sculpted blued steel hands, the centre engraved with a rural scene with stags in the foreground and a town in the background, the movement with five steel baluster pillars pinned to the top plate and screwed to the backplate signed ?? Schultz. Reiger within a border-engraved reserve, pierced and sculpted blued steel securing feet to the calibrated silvered set-up dial, calibrated count wheel, steel footed and double-screwed foliate pierced balance cock to the steel three-arm balance with flat hairspring, chain fusee for the going with foliate engraved barrel, similarly engraved and pierced resting barrel for the strike on bell housed below within a foliate engraved silver hinged flap; original leather-covered travelling case with simple handles to the sides and glazed viewing aperture to the top with hinged and latched brass cover
