One of the most successful sportscars ever produced, the MGB was originally announced in September 1962. During its eighteen years of production the most significant alteration to its design took place in October 1974 when, in order to comply with US legislation, Urethane 5mph impact bumpers were fitted. This also involved raising the ride height by 1.5". In this form the MGB continued in production until its final demise in October 1980. The MGB offers open-top motoring for minimal expense and there is no shortage of specialist companies available for parts and advice.

This particular car is finished in blaze, and is an example of a well-maintained, older restoration. It has had just three owners from new and comes with a complete file of history including all the original purchase documents, all the MoT's from new and numerous bills for work carried out in its lifetime. It is the desirable overdrive model and has been the subject of a major bodywork restoration including new wings etc. The engine is in very good running order and the car has been used regularly whilst in the ownership of the Shute family. The interior has been re-trimmed in new two-tone grey velour, and it is fitted with a hood and new tyres. It is currently MoT'd and is described as driving well.
