A 6-BORE PERCUSSION RIFLE with octagonal leaf-sighted barrel rifled with eight wide grooves and signed in full at the breech, breech and long tang engraved with scrollwork, signed flat lock engraved with scrollwork and struck twice with conjoined maker's initials and 'Maker's To Her Majestys' War Department', walnut half-stock, chequered grip, engraved iron mounts including butt-plate (pitted) and spur trigger-guard, vacant white-metal escutcheon, white-metal fore-end cap, and original brass-mounted ramrod (broken, barrel and mounts with some surface rust overall), in associated leather cover, Isaac Hollis & Sons, London, circa 1880
