The indigo field with angular flowering sprays issuing from four large toamto-red gabled medallions flanking a central similar aubergine and ivory medallion each containing a central cruciform motif flanked by angular flowering tendrils and with similar angular pendants, in a tomato-red border of polychrome quartered lozenge medallions divided by angular floral sprays, an inscription cartouche occupying the upper border, between ivory angular vine and minor zigzag stripes, areas of slight wear

The inscription appears to read: farmayesh-i hasrat ashja' khan Sultan Muhammad Khan sardar ...... ..dama iqbalahu ....., 'amal-e Bakhtiari (to the order of his noble greatness, the most brave Khan Sultan Muhammad Khan may his fortune continue...., the work of the Bakhtiari)
