The blackcurrant-red field with a dense profusion of stylised trees and and various floral motifs around three columns of six pictorial roundels depicting rulers from antiquity, Khusraw discovering Shirin bathing, Leyla and Majnun, Sheikh Sana'an and the pigs, Bahram Gur hunting, and Nasr al-Din Shah Qajar, in an ivory border of polychrome linked floral panels, a signature cartouche at one end, between charcoal-black and golden yellow zigzag, floral and barber-pole stripes, slight wear, polychrome silk wefts
