A FINE RUN OF THIS IMPORTANT SCHOLARLY PUBLICATION. The society was founded in 1826 and the first Proceedings were published in 1831. Contributors included most of the greatest naturalists of their time: Charles Darwin, Thomas Huxley, John Gould, Charles Lucien Bonaparte, Richard Bowdler Sharpe and Lord Lilford inter alia.
