Fitted with an earlier sighted three-stage barrel chiselled in relief with symmetrical patterns of foliage, and basketwork, the swamped muzzle issuing from a monster's mouth, brass-inlaid lock of early form, Circassian walnut three-quarter stock inlaid with brass pellets and roundels of geometric design, some set within shaped horn inlays, swelling faceted butt partly covered with velvet (worn), set with imitation semi-precious stones (some missing) and with butt-trap on the under-side, two associated white-metal barrel bands, and iron button trigger and ramrod
